Ingredients:

  • Napoleon vodka — 50 ml
  • Lime juice, freshly squeezed — 4 tablespoons
  • Simple sugar syrup — 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh basil leaves — 5 (for cocktail mix) + 1 (for decoration)
  • Celery tincture — 5 drops
  • Egg white — from 1 egg
  • Crushed ice
  • Big ball of ice or big ice cube

How to do:

Important: All ingredients must be precooled.

  1. In a mortar, mush 5 fresh basil leaves so that they release the juice. Add lime juice there, mix well and pour the mixture into a cocktail shaker filled with crushed ice.
  2. Next, add Napoleon vodka, simple sugar syrup and celery tincture to the cocktail shaker. Shake.
  3. Strain the liquid into a glass through a fine-mesh sieve to clear the cocktail mixture of basil pieces and ice. After that, return the mixture to the clean cocktail shaker, add the egg white there as well and shake for 40 seconds.
  4. Strain the resulting mixture through a mesh sieve into a chilled coupe glass, add a large ice ball or ice cube.
  5. Garnish with a leaf or a small sprig of basil. Lightly clap a basil leaf with your palms and gently place it on top of the foam of the drink.

Cheers!
